BPC Building Products Ltd is delighted to announce the appointment of Scott McAndrew as Technical Director, joining the company’s Senior Leadership Team. Scott will lead the newly established BPC Innovation Centre, setting its strategic direction and driving the delivery of our vision for product development and technical excellence.

Scott brings over 35 years of experience in timber engineering from trusses, engineered floors, timber frame and engineered connections where he has developed industry first products and helped solve industry challenges through innovation. His experience also includes structural, fire and acoustic testing of products and is recognised as one of the UK experts in engineered connectors.

Scott holds an MSc in Timber Engineering from Edinburgh Napier University, further strengthening his technical credentials and expertise in structural design and product development.

In his new role, Scott will be responsible for all product innovation and testing, ensuring BPC continues to deliver cutting-edge solutions that meet the highest standards of performance and reliability. He will also oversee technical support for BPC’s growing customer base, which includes timber engineering manufacturers, builders’ merchants, and trade professionals nationwide.

Scott is actively involved in the industry and has served on the board and technical committee of the Trussed Rafter Association, presently sits on British standards committees for timber design and timber testing and is an active member of European standards working groups contributing to technical standards and best practices across the UK timber engineering sector.
